She has obtained the Architecture degree in University Sapienza of Rome in 1990 and a Ph.D. in Documentation and Survey of Architectural Heritage in 1996. From 1994 to 2010, she worked as an Architect in the Technical Office of the University of Tor Vergata. From 2000 to 2007, she was a contract professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Roma Sapienza. Since 2010, she has been working at ENEA, first as a researcher and later as a senior researcher. She is currently serving as the Coordinator of the Research Internationalization Task Force for Tools and Services for Critical Infrastructure and Renewable Energy Communities Division.
She focuses on research, innovation, and development topics related to cities. She participates in major European networks that promote research and fund specific sustainable development trajectories for cities. She serves as the scientific representative for the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) for the SET Plan and the Partnership Driving Urban Transition. She is responsible for significant international research projects under the H2020 framework, such as BOOST (2013), EXPAND (2016), DARE (2019), and under the Horizon Europe framework, including DUT (2020) and CapaCITIES (2021). She is the author of national and international publications.
