Marina D'Antimo currently holds the role of Advanced Building solutions & Sustainability Lead for ArcelorMittal Steligence®. She provides technical support for steel and composite solutions, with a strong focus on sustainability and decarbonisation of built environment for the italian market. She holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Salerno, Italy and a Double Degree Ph.D. title in Applied Sciences from the University of Liege, Belgium, and from the University of Salerno, Italy. Her research was devoted to steel structures and joints under exceptional actions with a focus on advanced FEM simulations Since 2020 she has been a scientific collaborator at the University of Liège (BE). She is a staunch supporter of the woman empowerment and the human rights. She is an active member of the association AIDIA Milano, the Italian association of women engineers and architects, which promotes projects and dissemination actions to promote STEM disciplines among young women. She is also a member of the equal opportunities commission of the Italian Association of Engineers in Milan. Last but not least, Marina is a passionate athlete dedicated to hybrid sports and has recently started competing in Fitness, CrossFit and endurance competitions.
