Architect since 1987, Principal of Diego Zoppi Architects, expert in urban design, public and private procurement in Italy, Far East, Middle East.
He has signed important urban and landscape regeneration projects as well as international architecture competitions, some of which he won (New Town for the Municipality of Shanghai, Waterfront in Genova Voltri, Seagames water complex Hanoi, Vietnam, Public parking system for the Republic of San Marino).
He was a contract professor and lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture of Genoa and in various Schools of Architecture.
He theorized urban regeneration procedures which, through collective intelligence in the decision-making process, allow an increase in the stability of urban planning directions.
Currently member of:
- Board Member of National Council of Architects since 2016 (coordinator of the International Affairs Department, coordinator of the Department for the Prevention of Environmental Disasters and the Management of Climate Change)
- Executive Board of ACE (Architect's Council of Europe) since 2019 (coordinator of Area 2: Practice of the profession - Digitalisation and artificial intelligence, public procurement and architectural design competitions)
- Region 1 UIA Council from 2021 (delegated member)
_ Board Member of the National Technical Structure (STN), Association of 7 Italian Professional Orders for the management and prevention of disasters of natural or anthropogenic origin.
He has published numerous articles in sector magazines in Italy and Europe and his projects have been published in many sector magazines.
