The REbuild Call for Speakers is a great chance to inform a high-level community about innovative cases and projects. Every year, the focus changes to reflect the most innovative and important matters for the sector, that are then developed during the conference.
REbuild 2019 will be held in Milan at the ‘Fabbrica Orobia’ on May 29th and 30th and will intercept the transformations currently taking place, starting off with the changes to technological paradigms, with a careful look at the market and society, in the knowledge that only through a wider recognition will it be possible to recognise the many facets and creations of value.
The key points are four: (New) Real Estate; Offsite & Construction Tech; Digital & Proptech and Neighbourhoods and Hybrid Spaces.
The process of making each house coherent with the prospect of a zero-carbon economy cannot avoid passing from a paradigm shift in the construction world to a broader rethinking of spaces, neighbourhoods and cities.A transition awaits us that will involve not only the technological and energy plan, but also that at social, economic and cultural level.Sensitive and with a strongly interest in these changes is the real estate sector, which is registering a shift in customer interest towards rentals and is consequently taking a broader look, from the cost of construction to other factors in the life cycle of the building, which, until now, have been relegated to the background, such as management and maintenance costs, construction times and overall building quality.Modern construction methods, and off-site construction in particular, seem to offer a valid response to these demands, such as digital innovation: heritage management and the ways in which it is used are increasingly connected to the deployment of new digital technologies. Projects and proposals submitted to the Call for Speakers should be developed around these principles.
To apply, all you need to do is complete the form on the REbuild website.
