Digital infrastructure represents an increasingly evident presupposition that allows for the radical transformation of the built environment. According to Ares Frassineti, Technical Director of the Percassi business, “the habits and attitudes that these new processes impose, are linked to sustainability and efficiency, with benefits in terms of marginality too. Efficiency, in the world of construction, has to pass through the evolved supply chains: we often speak about the Country system and this results in supply chains that can generate value, not destroy it.”
Percassi, as leader and general contractor, singles out BIM as the key to the integration of the supply chain. The same approach is being used in the Energiesprong initiative, in which the digital dimension provides the tool for the integration of an innovative process for a new chain of businesses, coordinated by the very same Percassi Company.
"We need to work on evolved systems, and therefore digital – states Frassineti. Technology offers wonderful solutions that can opportunely meet our expectations, but we mustn’t forget the human element, that forms part of this process too: we must be able to evolve and mature, acquiring a culture and an education that is evolved and capable of speaking this kind of language.”
