Simona Camerano is Head of the Area “Economic, Geopolitical and Sectoral Strategies” at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP). She is responsible for strategic analysis activities supporting CDP’s positioning in industrial and infrastructure sectors with high growth potential, within national and international macroeconomic, geoeconomic and geopolitical contexts. She also supports the business with strategic analyses related to the execution of operations of particular importance. She is in charge of research and studies.
Before joining CDP, she was Head of the Regulated Sectors and Infrastructures Unit at UniCredit (Corporate & Investment Banking Division), where she coordinated strategic analysis and marketing activities focused on the public sector and infrastructure.
Previously, she was Head of the Research Department at Mediocredito Centrale, where she also oversaw research initiatives related to the SME Observatory and the monitoring of national and regional business incentive schemes.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of Fincantieri S.p.A. and a member of the Investment Committee of the FOF Infrastrutture fund. She previously served on the boards of Terna S.p.A., Sgr Immobiliare, Istituto Treccani, CDP Equity S.p.A. and CDPE Investimenti S.p.A.
