Raimondo is one of the practice’s most senior and experienced architects, having previously worked with several leading international firms. At Waugh Thistleton he leads and delivers the studio’s collaborative research programme, including the completed Build in Wood H2020 project and the ongoing Woodcircles and Timberhaus studies.
He has developed specialist expertise in engineered timber design and construction, alongside research into international policy and legislative frameworks shaping the adoption of biogenic materials in architecture, and contributed to the Commercial Timber Guidebook. As a highly experienced project architect, he brings a strong understanding of the technical, regulatory and insurance requirements associated with delivering innovative buildings.
He regularly lectures about his work at Waugh Thistleton and on the benefits of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) in construction.
