Miren Juaristi is an architect with a PhD and a senior researcher at Eurac Research, where she carries out applied research and development on advanced technologies for building envelopes, with the aim of making them technically robust, suitable for industrial production and ready for market adoption. She obtained her PhD from the University of Navarra on adaptive opaque façades, spending periods as a visiting PhD researcher at TU Delft and the Politecnico di Torino, developing a strongly interdisciplinary and application-oriented approach.
She is the coordinator of the European ZERAF project (Horizon Europe – EIC Pathfinder), an adaptive opaque façade technology developed through R&D, experimental validation and collaboration with industrial and academic partners throughout the entire innovation process.
At REbuild Riva del Garda, the ZERAF workshop is designed as a practical discussion with real estate professionals, developers and investors interested in innovative solutions at an advanced stage of development, to discuss conditions for adoption, feasibility and market value.
