Francesco is a Senior Researcher at Eurac Research (Italy) and Honorary Visiting Fellow in Building Physics and Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) at Loughborough University (UK). His research focus on IEQ in various contexts (e.g. schools, offices, and residential), and his research methods include computational fluid dynamics (CFD), field studies, lab experiments with human participants and/or manikins. Since 2021 he has been leading the project H2020 “MEZeroE - Measuring Envelope products and systems contributing to next generation of healthy nearly Zero Energy Buildings”. Moreover, he is the chair of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) Publications Committee and early career editorial board member of the Journal of Building Performance Simulation. He is member of ASHRAE Technical Committees 2.1 “Physiology and Human Environment”, and 4.10 “Indoor Environmental Modeling”.
