Flippo is from Genoa, is 48 years old, married and the father of two girls. After graduating and gaining work experience in Australia, he returned to Italy in 2002, where he worked in Milan at C.I.L.E. S.p.A., a historic Milanese company, first in the tender office and then in the technical and purchasing department. During this period he successfully completed a Master’s in General management at SDA Bocconi.. In 2006, he returned to Genoa to work for Costruzioni SpA, where, in addition to his role as Chief Executive, he served as technical director and was responsible for business development. Furthermore, he was also involved in the shipping industry in which his family has historically been active as a board member of Rimorchiatori Riuniti Porto di Genova, and, since July 2019, of Finarge SpA, a group company that operates offshore vessels to provide assistance to oil rigs and large offshore tugs.
