Industrialised construction, typified by an integrated planning strategy and optimisation of the production chain, is a solution capable of relaunching the Italian construction industry. A step that will require a radical change for the entire chain, the adoption of new technologies, digital elements, new working methods and the acquisition of new professional skills.
To help this step and encourage the sharing of skills, REbuild has organised the first Training Course for 4.0 construction planning for both new and existing build.
On the first day, after a short look at the state of the art, the new perspectives opened-up by industrialisation and Modern Construction Methods (already in existence at international level) were illustrated. Off-site construction shifts a large part of production, which currently take place on-site, to the factory, offering significant impact on time, costs and waste, ensuring that employees enjoy a safer working environment and the end-user is assured a quality result. A quality that incorporates beauty, not sacrificed by the industrialisation of the process.
A paradigm shift for the building industry that is enabled by new technologies, above all by BIM, available to planners.
On the second day, Wednesday 14th November, once again in the city of Brescia, participants will see how they measure up with a Modular Hackathon, planning a building model with SketchUp, a free graphics computer app for 3D modelling. The results will be assessed and discussed with industry experts and professionals who are already working off-site.
